Membership

There are 4 categories of membership:

(a) Fellow Member

• an organization conducting and operating testing, calibration, inspection
  and/or certification and offering public support or technical back-up services; or
• a non-profit-making organization conducting and operating testing,
  calibration, inspection and/or certification and offering public support or technical back-up services; or
• an academic institution conducting and operating testing, calibration, inspection and/or certification and offering public support or technical back-up services; or
• an accredited professional recognized by the General Committee as qualified for providing any professional services for testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and/or certification bodies.
  (Annual Subscription Fee: HK$3,200)

(b) Ordinary Member

• an organization having a department or division conducting and
  operating testing, calibration, inspection and/or certification and offering primarily in-house support or technical back-up services; or

• an organization recognized by the General Committee as qualified for supporting the promotion and development of standardization, testing, calibration, inspection and/or certification.
  (Annual Subscription Fee: HK$1,500)

(c) Associate Member

• An individual having an interest in testing, calibration, inspection and/or certification and supports the promotion and development of standardization, testing calibration, inspection and/or certification, subject to the approval of the General Committee.
  (Annual Subscription Fee: HK$500)

(d) Patron or Honorary Member

• An organization providing services for and/or supplying merchandise to testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and/or certification bodies, which sponsors the Association each year in monetary terms.

Present membership consists of prominent non-profit-making industrial associations, academic institutes, renowned certification laboratories of international standing, leading traders and manufacturers in Hong Kong.
